Rabbit Hopping?

Are you aware of the idea of Rabbit Hopping or Rabbit Agility contests? This is quite popular in Europe and has gained popularity in the US with some 4-H youth. Check it out at

So, what do you think? There is a woman in our area with an arena and all of the equipment needed for this kind of event. Should we look into this more?

Fly Control

It's that time of year when we start to get a lot of flies in the rabbitry. I was reading some suggestions today and saw this new and unique way of trapping flies:

Home made fly trap:

one gallon jug (milk jug or water jug) with the TOP cut out but handle in tact
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 banana peel

place peel in the jug
boil the vinegar and sugar until sugar is dissolved
pour over peel
hang or set in the fly area
Throw away when full
